Introducing Yogyakarta,Indonesia

Yogyakarta (pronounced Jogjakarta and often just shortened to Jogja) ranks as one of the best-preserved and most attractive cities in Java, and is a major centre for the classical Javanese arts of batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry and puppet shows. At its heart is Yogya's first family, the Hamengkubuwonos, whose elegant palace lies at the centre of Yogya's quaint old city, the Kraton, itself concealed behind high castellated walls. Tourists flock here, attracted not only by the city's courtly splendour but also by the nearby temples of Prambanan and Borobudur, so there are more hotels in Yogya than anywhere else in Java and, unfortunately, a correspondingly high number of touts, pick pockets and con artists.
Sultan Hamengkubuwono I (also known as Mangkubumi) established his court here in 1755, spending the next 37 years building the new capital, with the Kraton as the centre piece and the court at Solo as the blue print. In 1946, the capital of the newly declared Republic of Indonesia was moved to Yogya from Jakarta, and the Kraton became the unofficial headquarters for the republican movement. The royal household of Yogya continues to enjoy almost slavish devotion from its subjects and the current Sultan, Hamengkubuwono X, remains an influential politician.
In the southern part of Yogyakarta, you will find many beaches. The most famous beach is Parangtritis with its legendary figure of Nyi Roro Kidul (Queen of the South), but Yogyakarta has also many natural beautiful beaches in Gunung Kidul. You can see the Sadeng Beach which is an ancient estuary of Bengawan Solo River before the powerful forces lifted the surface of the southern part of Java Island so that the flow of the river turned to the north like today. You can also visit Siung Beach which has 250 channels of rock climbing, Sundak Beach and many more.
If Malaysia has the world's highest twin towers, Yogyakarta has Prambanan Temple with 47 meters tall and was made by hand about 1100 the previous years. If Singapore has modern life, Yogyakarta has traditional agrarian society. If Thailand and Bali have beautiful beaches, Yogyakarta owns natural beaches and Mount Merapi, which has a story of how powerful the force of nature is. A unique combination of ancient temples, history, traditions, culture and natural forces make Yogyakarta a very worth while place to visit.

Tasik Kenyir,Terengganu,Malaysia

Tasik Kenyir is the largest man-made lake in South East Asia. It was constructed between 1978 and 1985. Sultan Mahmud Hydro Electric Power Plant, built in 1985 for generating electricity, this dam holds approximately 23.6 million cubic meters of water and occupies 38000 hectares.
Tasik Kenyir is a showcase of 340 islands. The islands on Tasik Kenyir are the tips of highlands and hilltops which were not submerged during the flooding. There are 30 rivers feeding the lake, 25 waterfalls and at least 25 known species of fish. Therefore Tasik Kenyir is known as an angler's heaven for fishing. For anglers are  arranged special trips by private boat operators.  They know the best location. Please be informed that a fishing permit is required from the Wildlife Department only when you to enter National Park such as Sungai Cacing or Sungai Terengganu. Besides that the lake makes a fascinating tourist spot with its offering  of a lush tropical forest, home to more than 8000 species of flowers, 2500 species of plants and trees and 300 species of fugus. Adding to the exotic colours are 800 butterflies, 370 species of orchids, 1000 species of birds and 200 species of other animals. There are also limestone caves and lush tropical rain forests. The most important gateway to Tasik Kenyir is Pengkalan Gawi. It offers the services of a Tourist Information Centre, a parking area, a jetty and various water sports facilities for rental. Its strategic location also makes it the nearest gateway to Malaysia's well known National Park Taman Negara in the neighbouring state of Pahang.
Tasik Kenyir is merely 65 km from Kuala Terengganu's Sultan Mahmud Airport, served daily by flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Cruise leisurely on a 500 km drive from Kuala Lumpur or 900 km from Singapore via the North-South expressway and roads that run through Malaysian lush tropical rain forests and jungles to the resort. The resort offers it's own own coach transfers which depart from Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu daily to shuttle visitors. Some public taxis also ply these routes. The new name of the resort is: Kenyir Lakeview Resort.
The old name was: Tasik Kenyir Golf Resort. Be aware: on the road are still the old signs with the old name on it. Drive right up to the resort and leave your car in a specially designated area. The car park is manned round the clock by stringent security personnel. At the resort you can explore the boundaries of the lake as you travel by boat across this 38,000-hectare man-made wonder. Take in the landscape of submerged hilltops and highlands scattered throughout this vast watery paradise. You can also strike out and explore the serene lake by canoe. Fishing enthusiasts should try their luck at outsmarting the many fishes that make their home in Tasik Kenyir. Also you can take up the challenge of jungle tracking as you negotiate the meandering highways of the rainforest. Weave through the age-old virgin forest with knowledgeable guides to show you the way. It's also very nice to have a look at the fish farm. This fish farm is on the lake.We have seen at the fish farm very large fish and they all do swim in the lake.
Lasir Waterfall is one of the many spectacular waterfalls within Lake Kenyir. It's a  lovely waterfall, that occurred at a boundary between two different rock types. It's a fall from about 500 feet high. The waterfall drops gracefully into multi-tiered levels of boulders forming sprays of water. Ponds of water are available at eash of the 5 levels of Lasir and one can enjoy a cold refreshing bath here. There are large camping area and hiking trail up to its top. The fall is well shaded by the canopy of the surrounding forest.

About Gunung Bromo (Mount Bromo), East Java, Indonesia

Mount Bromo, situated within the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, is one of the most famous attractions in East Java.  While it is one of many peaks within the Tengger Caldera, it is also its most famous - easily recognizable because entire cap has been blown off by a previous volcanic eruption.  Today, smoke is frequently seen blowing out from the top.
Mount Bromo was traditionally visited by the Buddhist Tenggerse, who, on the fourteeth day of the month of Kasada, would gather at the rim of the active crater to present offerings to the Supreme God, Hyang Widi Wasa.  According to legend, this practice started as the King Joko Seger and Queen Roro Anteng prayed for children, and in return, promised to sacrifice the last child.  The Queen had 25 children, but refused at first to sacrifice the last child.  When threatened by the gods with fire and brimstone, the queen finally did perform the sacrifice.  As the child was being thrown into the crater, the voice of the child was heard ordering an annual ceremony to be performed at the volcano. A Hindu temple is situated at the foot of the mountain, from which 250 steps lead to the edge of the crater.

Domas Crater @Tangkuban Perahu,Bandung,Indonesia

My little brother At Domas Crater

Although the distance is only about 1.2 km from the Queen Crater at Tangkuban Perahu, Domas Crater tourist attraction seems not socrowded by tourists. Perhaps the sign posts of this tourist attractionis not big enough so that escape from the observations of visitors, or because the visitors are required to first walk through the forest trees that shade with the steep road down so that most visitors prefer to ignore it.
Distance 1.2 km course is not a considerable distance. But the steep road to make some people would think twice when going back to the hiking path and will certainly drain the energy and breath. While visitors do not have to worry about running out of breath or exhausted because there are other, more flat roads to return to the asphalt road (general) with public transport available to take visitors back to the Queen Crater. Or by private vehicles, visitors can also go directly to the entrance of this tourist area located at the bottom of a tourist attraction Queen Crater. Guide its direction was driving home when visitors take the left turn while in the intersection near the parking area at large.

Rumah Mode @Bandung

Me @Rumah Mode
The ‘factory outlet shopping’, has made Bandung as Indonesia’s shopping Mecca. You may think it is just one or two shop but there are actually many of them and its located everywhere. I guess it may reach hundreds.
Factory outlets were originally ‘garment factories’ that sold over-runs of, and substandard, export quality materials at very low prices. Now, they sell materials ‘made in Indonesia’, and also internationally branded garments and accessories already tagged and labeled for export. You can find the Ralph Lauren, Gucci, CD, Armani and all the branded names here and only a fraction of the cost elsewhere. The only difference is the cut on the label.
Enter Rumah Mode at Jln Setia Budi, Bandung’s biggest factory outlet, and arguably the most complete in the city. A walk through Rumah Mode reveals a pleasant arcade, where you will be dazzled by collections for men, women and children from many famous brands.
